Music has been a part of my life since the very beginning. As a toddler, I would steal my dad’s headphones just to immerse myself in sound, captivated by the records he’d spin not as a DJ, but as a true music lover. My childhood was filled with melodies, from singing and dancing to obsessing over Sezen Aksu and later discovering the world of hip-hop through Dr. Dre and Snoop Dogg.
I started making my own mixtapes even before I was nine, recording songs off the TV, and experimenting with my dad’s stereo. DJing wasn’t a career I sought, it was a calling that found me.
My journey took a turn when I met the right people at the right time. A mix from a DJ named Paul ignited my passion, and soon I found myself behind the decks, playing night after night, learning on the go. My first setup? The cheapest belt drive turntables I could find nobody uses belt drives, but that didn’t stop me. I kept pushing, kept mixing, and before I knew it, I was crafting beats and refining my sound.
Of course, the DJ world isn’t all smooth transitions. I’ve had people in my life who didn’t want to see me grow men who took more than they gave, offering little support while I fought to carve out my place in the industry. But passion beats negativity every time.
Through it all, I stayed true to my craft, proving that talent, drive, and authenticity will always shine through. Today, I continue to create beats that push boundaries, making every mix a story worth listening to.
